Founding member Studio Akeka building unique bamboo structure

We are very proud of one of our founders, Studio Akeka, who is building this uniquely, beautifully shaped lodge at the edge of Bwindi National Park. The whole vision is to blend in with the environment. The area, now still mostly grass, will re-unite with the forest once the trees have grown. As humans we will just be visitors, just as tourism should be.
The round shapes of the architecture were made possible thanks to the unique characteristics of bamboo.
