You can hardly believe that this is the same variety, planted at the same time!
The first two clumps (each from one seedling) are very bushy, with many tiny poles. The second clump has fewer, but thicker, straighter, and longer poles. All new shoots from this clump will produce even bigger poles.
These plants are only three years old. Imagine what continuous care could achieve in the next two years: huge, long, straight, beautiful bamboo poles, ready for multipurpose use.
The importance of proper bamboo maintenance is heavily underestimated. The poles and biomass that can be harvested per acre increase drastically once maintenance is done consistently.
